I do not normally post wedding gowns here but this one is so perfect, rare and absolutely one of the most romantic pieces I have ever seen that I could not resist. It could absolutely be worn for a wedding or even as a summer gown. When it first arrived I almost passed on it - it was a crumpled flattened mess. I had it carefully cleaned and then spent hours steaming out everyone of those ruffles. When it was done and on the dress form I almost had tears at how much it transformed. It is extraordinarily lovely and still strong and wearable with care with no real flaws to speak of. The neck and sleeves are accented with panels of silk netting that are placed to stand out from the dress. I have put filling in the sleeves so you can see how lovely they are. The bodice skims over the upper body and the back has that wonderful row of tiny buttons. It swoops out to a wide skirt with miles of lace making it up. The back is trained and again those netted ruffles applied to highlight the shape. These where meant to float over a smaller frame so I have listed it as XS-SML but it is a bit flexible in terms of size because of the boas cut.† It is shown over a plain cream slip that is not included - you could change the color if you wish to get a different feel. Very on par with the runways for spring too! This gown is from that same estate that produced an important Worth cape and the woman who owned these pieces was both wealthy and well travelled. A truly beautiful dress and in wonderful condition! Item# E395
