When you admire this double strand of akoya pearls in front of the mirror for the first time, one thing will be unmistakable - nothing quite compares to fine, white Japanese akoya pearls. Their iridescent luster and wavelike rainbows of orient put these pearls into a class of their own.
The pearls measure 6.5-7.0 mm, a perfect size to double up. This is considered a nested strand, so the pearls fall nicely with each strand side by side. The inner strand measures approximately 17 inches, and the outer strand measures approximately 18 inches. This length tends to fall loosely around the neck.
The pearls are individually knotted on twin silk and the necklace is finished with a solid gold clasp with a safety catch. Your pearls will always be secure.
Akoya pearls are known for their perfect round shape and unmistakable luster unique to pearls grown in the cold coastal waters of Japan. The finest pearls from this region are known for their mirror-like luster and smooth surfaces
For decades we have been working with the same family-run farms in Japan. These families understand our rigorous grading standards and select pearls specifically for us. They ensure the pearls we offer fall within the finest range of the AAA category. This is something we know you'll appreciate the moment you open the box.
