This fabulous antique genuine Edwardian pendant necklace is set with lovely Paste stones. Circa 1915
Set with a lovely marquise cut pink Paste stone in the centre and old cut Paste stones chasing around the Silver gallery.
The Silver chain leads to a lower festoon that connects to the fabulous Edwardian pendant.
Even the bale is set with sparkling Paste stones.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
This really is a beautiful necklace which looks wonderful when worn!
